Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there, especially for my mom! I’ve been enjoying the flowers lately so here’s a color change and some leaves for this card. I used So Saffron and Peekaboo Peach for the flowers With some Wink of Stella on the flowers for a little sparkle. I used the drier sheet method to die cut the Quilted background from Lawn Fawn. I have found this pulls out all those little holes and didn’t have to go back to poke them out. So if you’re thinking about any of these type of detailed dies go ahead and buy them! I used the Pear Pizzazz paper behind the quilted background to add a different layer of color, plus pulling the same color for the leaves. I hope you enjoy this card and stop stop back again soon. Happy paper crafting to you all! List of supplies:

I have incorporated many new products coming June 1st and a few fantastic current products. I decided to show off some of the new In Colors for 2018-2020, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, and Call Me Clover. I used the Climbing Orchid stamp set with the coordinating dies. Then I used the new Artisan Textures for the background splatter. This is such a great stamp set, definitely a must have for all stampers! Make sure you check it out in the new Stampin Up Catalog coming June 1st! Then to add some accents, I used the Krylon Silver Leaf pen around the flowers, banner, and shimmer paper to help them pop a little more, as well Wink of Stella on the flowers. I then scattered some of the new Artisan Pearls in So Saffron on the card. These new pearls come in 5 colors, Grapefruit Grove, Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, and Tranquil Tide. Coming June 1st in your new Stampin Up Catalog! List of supplies:

So I hit the internet to find a fold I’ve never done and came across this serviette/napkin fun fold from Beccy in Australia (link further down.) To start this card I chose a random light yellow cardstock I had on hand, and trimmed it to 11”x 11” square. I don’t have much in 12”x 12” cardstock so I’m not sure of the color, but it’s not So Saffron or Daffodil Delight. Then I scored the sheet at 2 3/4” then at 8 1/4”, turned the sheet 90 degrees and scored again to create the main fold lines. Then you fold up each 4 corners into the center of the entire sheet and create the secondary folds. Next I used the Delightful Daisy DSP to create the triangle accents for the card. Cut 1 sheet into a 5”x 5” square piece (cutting this into 4 triangles). Then cut 2 sheets into 4 3/4” x 4 3/4” square pieces (cutting each of these sheets into 8 triangles. For a total of 16 smaller triangles.) Next I cut a sheet of Whisper White into a 5 1/4” x 5 1/4” square to decorate the center inside with my sentiment. Then to hold the card together I cut a 12” long by 1 3/4” wide piece of cardstock to wrap around the center. I added some Night of Navy ribbon and placed a yellow Daisy to hide the seem in the center. This now holds the card from flopping all the corners around. I have to give credit to “Beccy’s Place Blog.” I came across her blog on my hunt for fun folds and she has great instructions on her website. Click link below for step-by-step instructions. http://beccysplace.blogspot.com/2013/12/technique-class-serviette-fold-cards.html This fun fold card was fun and easy to make. Once you create the fold, you can use any extra scraps of DSP you have on hand. Since the largest piece is 5x5”, mixing and matching DSP in similar color pallets would work well too. Also a Red, White, and Blue theme for the 4th of July would look fantastic! Blogging Friends - Check out the rest of the teams creations below, click the person’s name to take you to their blog.
