It's all about the 4th of July today. I used the Fun Stampers Journey "Bucket List" stamp set for the theme of my card today. Whatever your drink of choice is, there's always red cups to put those drinks in all summer long!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!

Sarcasm Case This Sketch...

Nothing like a little sarcasm for those you love. You always love those closest to you, but they do drive you a little crazy here and there. As well, your car is always great until it breaks down and/or needs some maintenance...

For this challenge I flipped the card on its side and decided to use humorous stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps. Click the links below for some of the products I've used.

Patterned Paper...

Here's my last teacher card for a little while. Teachers are important teachers all of us in one way or another. We may curse them when we are younger and even when we are a bit older, but they are the foundation for all of our learning. So thank you for all you do!

Today's card focuses on patterned paper for Simon Says Wednesday challenge.

Simon Says Touchy Feely...

Happy Saturday all! I hope your weekend is starting out good. It's rainy here in New England today, so sunny Florida or California at Disney would be really nice today. Oh well, I guess I have to settle for the wise Walt Disney quote instead...

Today's card is about 3-dementions for the Simon Says Monday Challenge this week. I used the sparkle embossing folder and rhinestones for my touchy feely.

All About Teachers...

6/16/2017

With school coming to an end, I'm still making cards for teachers. So I'll be posting a few more cards the next few days to say thanks to our fabulous teachers. I have a couple of friends who have asked for teacher cards, so it was great to have gone to the Heirloom Rubber Stamp & PaperArts Festival again this year and find some fantastic stamps. Not only great for teachers but great for students and graduations.

I'm using some of my new "Our Daily Bread" stamp sets. There are some great stamp companies out there, and this is a great one. They have some perfect sayings that really help personalize cards.

This card is for the Stamp Ink Paper Sketch Challenge #103. Keeping it simple can be hard at times, but I think I added just enough to make it special without going overboard.

Graduation Sunday...

It's graduation time again! Time for a card that celebrates these terrific milestones. It's always the end of one accomplishment, and the beginning of a new chapter of life. I've actually graduated 4 times, since I took the long road... Graduated high school then took a break after 1 year of college. I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I grew up. Then I went back for my associates degree in nursing, then my bachelors degree a few years later, and last graduated 5 years ago with my masters degree in nursing.

Good luck to all the graduates this year and all of you working on your degrees. All your hard work will pay off!!

I hope you enjoy this card! I used my new Typewriter Set by Technique Junkies. Another great find at the craft fair last weekend! Click the link below to check it out.

Stamp Ink Paper/Simon Says Monday Challenge...

6/7/2017

This is a belated birthday card for my nephew. At least he's 23 years old, and understands that when your clutch goes on your car alyour birthday gift will be a little late... LOL!! Yes I'm one of the last people on Earth who still prefers to drive a manual transmission.

This is a card that combines 2 challenges including the Stamp Ink Paper "masculine" and Simon Says Monday "masculine" challenge. I used a stenciling technique, plus used my new stamp set that I splurged on at the paper craft fair last weekend. Click link to see stamp set. http://www.paperandpurlgurl.com/blog/happy-funday-sunday

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm pretty sarcastic most of the time, so when I saw this sarcasm stamp at the fair I couldn't pass it up either! I hope you enjoy this card!

Paper Craft Crew/Just Add Ink...

6/6/2017

Today's combination is using the colors of Just Add Ink with the sketch of the Paper Craft Crew. At least the carousel horses are a signe of summer with all this rain. I made another teacher themed card for a friend who needs a couple cards for end of the school year. I thought the whimsical carousel theme would be fun.

Today's challenge is all about circles. I used Stamping Up By the Shore DPS that has circle accents with the starfish as the background. Then more circles for the flip flops using both By the Shore DPS and Paper Trey's flipping out stamp and die set with some round pearl accents.

I hope all you enjoy this card!
