Sadly I missed the deadline to post for the new challenge I was trying from TGIF challenges along with the Case this Sketch layout. I figured I would post it in the comments so at least people can see what I made. I miss MojoMonday as many of you all do, I figured I needed to find another challenge or 2 to try, so that's where the TGIF challenge emerged from. Its been rainy here in New England the past couple days so I'm happy to see the large fireball in the sky today! Clearly the summertime blues is a perfect challenge this week! Now the "blues" have cleared and there's bright days ahead! Christmas is still a few months away but this week Just Add Ink thought it would be fun to use a birthday set for a Christmas card. This was a great challenge. It took me a minute to think what to use to turn balloons into a Christmas card. So here it goes using Balloon Adventures and the Balloon Pop-Up thinlit dies. I embossed the words "joy" and "peace" on some of the balloons to make them more seasonal. Then using Real Red and Garden Green for the balloons are always great colors for Christmas. I hope you you enjoy this card as much as I did making it. List of supplies:

I chose to take a small hiatus from posting but I will show some of the cards I did make over the next couple weeks. Today I decided to combine 4 challenges. I usually don't combine challenges too much, but today here we go with Watercooler Wednesday challenge #127, Paper Craft Crew #251, Simon Says Wednesday challenge, and Case this Sketch #230. I hope you all enjoy this card. WWC #127 is all about birthdays. There's always a birthday coming so you can always make a great birthday card. PPC #251 is about new products, which I used 2 new birthday stamps from Technique Junkies and Nuvo glitter markers for the birthday cake stamp. I had purchased these products at the stamp show last month and I'm still trying to work in all my new finds. Simon Says Wednesday challenge is about plaid. Using a pretty paper I saw at Michael a year ago with some other complimentary polka dot paper. CTS #230 is a new sketch challenge, see picture further down.
