Happy Halloween!!

10/31/2017

It’s already Halloween! I can’t believe how fast the summer went, and now fall is flying by as well. I hope everyone gets many treats and only fun tricks this Halloween!

Simon Says Wednesday challenge is “Anything Goes” so since it’s Halloween day, it’s a Halloween card.

I made these cards using my left over Halloween Night DSP and Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set. I used the enamel dots and bakers twine for accents. I think this stamp set is so cute and fun.

There is no full moon tonight so that’s a good thing, but it’s coming for the weekend... All you healthcare professionals, policemen, firemen, EMTs, etc. get ready for some fun this weekend!

Here’s to a happy safe Halloween to you all!!!

Creative Journey Cape Cod Weekend!

This past weekend I was able to go to Jenn Shurkus’s Creative Journey Cape Cod retreat in Hyannis Massachusetts. We made 12 cards each day, both Saturday and Sunday! That’s 24 fabulous cards for this event. The space was absolutely fabulous with plenty of light, comfy chairs, and lots of help from Jenn’s creative team. Shout outs to both Amy and Lisa for making all the kits and helping to plan the event. As well as, Jenn D. for running around Saturday with rotating all the card making supplies. Plus we can’t forget Chris checking out all of the fabulous new products available for purchase from the vendor products including Lawn Fawn, Winnie & Walter, Newton’s Nook, Simon Says, Neat & Tangled, Tim Holtz, Concord & 9th, Impression Obsession, and MSE!

Jenn does these retreats twice a year, so if you have the chance to get to a retreat it’s well worth it! I hope to see you all in 2018!!

Between the colors and talking about “soft socks,” I had to get these stamps to go with my hand knit socks I enjoy making too.

How can you not ❤️ the yeti!

This snowman was colored with watercolor pencils! I’m just starting to work with them and getting the hang of how much color and water to use for a good balance.

I totally had to buy these skating bears! I look forward to making some more fabulous cards :)

Halloween isn't far away now, I hope everyone has their costumes ready! I always go as a nurse since I typically work on Halloween and have a specific color to wear, so no dressing up anymore for me.

I decided to work on a new Halloween card last night, I hope you all enjoy. I used the Spooky Night DSP with the Merry Cafe & Spooky Cat stamp sets. I used a little Wink of Stella on the coffee cup and rhinestones to make a little sparkle.

Smitten Mittens TGIF/SUO

10/5/2017

Well I finally decided to start bing watching Game of Thrones. I figured I would see what the hype was about and I have to say it's a good story line so far. So in GOT you will need some mittens to live there as well as here in New England.

I've decided to finally broke out my new Smitten Mittens stamps and framelits to make this card. Keeping with the theme ofwintery cold in GOT and Christmas. I used the new Christmas Around the World DSP and doily snowflakes to make this pretty blue and grey card. Plus I decided to emboss the Mittens using white embossing powder on Pool Party paper.

I hope you enjoy this simply cute card as much as I do.
