Case this Sketch...

Today is a sketch challenge from CTS created by Donna Mikada. I have to say the sentiment section was throwing me off a bit, since I wanted to use the velum to not take away from my stamp I used for the picture on my card.

I used a mix of current Stampin Up products like Painter's Palette, as well as Hey Chick and Good Luck Elephant stamp sets from the past year for this card. A few blingy rhinestones make this project sparkle. I hope you enjoy this card, since I definitely enjoyed the challenge I worked through to make this card.

Case this Sketch #239 challenge is a great sketch. A bit of a challenge for me, and my dimensions are a bit off to scale from the picture showcased below. But I feel like I still kept within the concept Donna was creating.

Fab Friday/SUO Challenges...

For these challenges I combined the fall colors with the sketch layout from Fab Friday. I just love this Painted Autumn DSP. It's just so pretty and full of color. You can use it for any type of card and compliments the fall colors. As well, if you want to brighten it up the Lemon Lime Twist it is perfect!

The Balloon Adventures I even used for a Christmas card a few posts back. So you really can make any stamp set versatile with a little imagination.

I hope you all all enjoy this card. I really like all the mix of colors for this time of year. Happy stamping!

* Note I started building this post earlier in week and it posted it for 9/18/17 even though I didn't post it live until 9/21/17... I guess moving forward I will have to look into changing the date. Still learning my blogging. #newbie

Watercooler Wednesday Birthday...

I'm all about the fall colors right now, so no surprise I decided to use the Painted Autumn DSP. I decided to go back a year and use "Brittany" from Rubbernecker Stamps for my birthday girl! This was another purchase from the 2016 stamp show when I was a brand new stamper just learning the ropes of stamping. I also used my new Nuvo glitter markers to color the gifts and Old Olive for her coat. A little color to make her pop. I'm still working on the coloring as I go along. I'm a work in process and looking forward to the Creative Art Journey retreat to learn some new techniques.

I always like to add a little something to the inside of my cards to tie them all together. For this card it was some extra balloons I had in my "extras" box. I'm going to need to make my own challenge to use items only from my "extras" box in the near future.

Stamp Ink Paper/Simon Says simply fall...

Last Sunday of summer.... I decided to use a large tree stamp from Rubbernecker stamp products that I bought at the 2016 Paper Craft Fair at the Big E. A simple tree for a fall card seemed perfect for these two challenges. Stamp Ink Paper and Simon Says have great challenges this week. I hope you enjoy this card.

I also signed up for the Creative Journey Art Retreat. Click link below if you are interested in going. I've never been to a retreat before, but Jenn's retreats are fabulous from all the reviews I've seen. I'm looking forward to some great inspiration.

Watercooler Wednesday & Simon Says Challenges...

9/8/2017

So with fall seems to come pesky rodents... So this week I found some mice had been feeding from my pantry! Ugh!! So two days of cleaning out the pantry and setting traps I've got 2 less mice now. We shall see if there are anymore this weekend...

With the cooler weather my card is fall inspired including leaves and autumn colors. I used the new Colorful Seasons stamp set with the Seasonal Layers thinlit dies with the great color combination of Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and the Painted Autumn DSP, found in the new seasonal Stampin Up catalog. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.

It has been a busy month and haven't posted in way too long! I'm back now with new challenges to post. I hope you enjoy this birthday card using the new Coffee Break DSP and Coffee Cafe stamp sets from Stampin Up. I love this set and the new holiday add on stamps for this set, so I see some Christmas cards with these stamps in the near future.

I signed up as a demonstrator for Stampin Up a month ago so you can purchase any products through my shop link. If you would like to have a party feel free to email me and I would love to come setup a stamping party at your home. I look forward to seeing where this journey brings me next.
